Description:

Level 868 appears to be a galaxy with many small planets and stars.

planets:
level 868 currently contains 520 planets. these planets range from having a circumference of 1 mile to 10 miles1. the planet's day and night cycle ranges from 6 hours to 72 hours. they orbit stars in chaotic motions and constantly change direction, though there seems to be some force that prevents planets from getting within 10 miles of each other and messing up orbits. it is impossible to escape the gravity of the planets, when an object gets 3 miles above the ground an unexplained force prevents it from getting any farther up. the only viable way to escape a planet is using planetary currents.

stars:
stars in the level are ~200 miles2. They appear to move around a bit, similar to the chaotic motion of the planets. all of the stars go through star phases where for about a year the star will get brighter and hotter until a new planet will no-clip out of the star, causing the star to cool down. the temperatures normally change from about 7-10 °F3 at the highest parts of the star phase to the lowest. about every decade one of the stars will continue to get brighter and brighter for 3-4 years at the peak the temperatures change 15-20 °F4 after this is done a new star will no-clip out of the first star and will reach up to speeds of 1000 mph5. once the new star is out of that solar system, it will heat up rapidly for a year and then eject 10-20 planets in a few days.

districts:
districts are the separate solar systems in this level, and each district has a different "theme" There are currently 5 districts in level 868. A few notes: the average temperature assumes it is in the middle of the district and the star is in the middle of its star phase, and to try to keep the footnotes from being flooded there will be separate imperial and metric sections. Every district has at least one unique plant or animal that will be explained at the end of the flora and fauna section.

Description: The housing district appears to be an American suburban neighborhood with working concrete roads. the houses in this district have running water/electricity. there are also occasionally small ponds and parks in this district. the housing district is where the majority of people live, and to try to maximize space, the citizens of level 868 and the MEG have agreed to keep 5-6 people in a large house 3-4 in a medium-sized house, and 2-3 people in a small-sized house. All of the houses and landmarks have the anomalous ability to be repaired and rebuilt after destruction, though this process is slow, if one room gets destroyed it will take about a week for it to be restored, and a month if the whole house is destroyed.

recorded temperatures: imperial: The average temperature of the housing district is 74°F at day and 67°F at night. The extremes measured have been lows of 57°F at day and 45°f at night, with highs of 94°f at day and 82°f at night
metric: The average temperature of the housing district is 23.3°C at day and 19.4°C at night. The extremes measured have been lows of 13.9°C at day and 7.2°C at night, with highs of 33.3°C at day and 27.8°f at night

Flora and fauna: The plant life here is not very diverse, most of the level is made of cut grasses that are found in yards, with a few small oak trees scattered around and some flowers and shrubs situated in flower beds, with some cattails and lily pads at the ponds. The animals that can be found here are some songbirds, frogs, a variety of bugs and arachnids, and some squirrels. there are also some smaller cod and guppies in the ponds.
The housing district has a unique songbird nicknamed the tattle-tale that has camera lenses for eyes, they normally perch on trees and houses scanning the area, and if they see someone commit a crime they will fly to someone in a higher power6 and explain the person and the crime they committed. these entities are not aggressive, in fact, they help keep level 868 a safe place.
uses/valuable resources: The only resources that this district has an almost infinite supply of clean water and electricity. the use of this district is the main living location for the people of level 868, and local members of the meg.

black hole:
in the center of the galaxy, there is a black hole that is about 500 miles wide. going into the black hole will lead you to level(x).

planetary currents:
This is the only way to go to other planets and districts, they appear to look like ocean currents. no matter the distance between the planets, it will always take about 30 seconds to get to the other side. Through studies, the MEG has found these things about the planetary planets:

  • Every planet has at least 2 planetary currents to the nearest planets
  • All planets are connected (there is no "closed" system of planets)
  • Each district has at least 3 currents to neighboring districts
  • There is at least one current that leads to the black hole from each district
