Level 989 is the 990th Level of the Backrooms, and was discovered on January 7th, 2022, with the level being a tight stairway to the Void.
Description
Level 989 is a tight stairway, with somewhere between 20 to 100 steps, depending on the wanderer. Only one wanderer is allowed every time, so the entrance may be sometimes blocked. At the end of the stairway is a door which leads to the Void. It is not advised to enter the door, as the Void is inescapable. Every description is based on oral records, as the level censors itself, similar to Level 12. If one tries to photograph the level, the result will be a completely white image. Even if a wanderer somehow manages to capture the picture, after exiting, the image will immediately censor. The reason is unknown. However, one picture has been photographed, printed, and stamped on the level's walls.

Bases, Outposts and Communities
Due to the restriction of only one person every time, there are no known bases, outposts or communities on this level. However, the M.E.G. has put barrels of food and water in the level.
Fast Exploration
After the first wanderer entered the level, the M.E.G. has explored it more thouroughly, and the entire level was explored in a month.

Entering a building labelled 'Void' at the outskirts of Level 11 will have a chance of entering this level.
Noclipping randomly will bring you to this level.
Exits
No-clipping through the back wall of the room will bring you back to Level 11's town square, and the door will lead to the Void, and 7~8 minutes later, you will be sent you Level 28.
