Well… how do I even start this entry. I know that I’m talking as myself and documenting my own thoughts on a topic I choose to cover. I’m not veiling my experiences behind an abstraction like Val where only the core remains intact, and the details of my real story are lost. So I guess it’s time that I finally write here as TheGameOwl, time I finally open up at least a part of who I am and why I felt drawn towards commentating on the concept of creation itself along with so many of the other topics I tackle in my writing. You can call me Val, a nickname I adopted after I wrote about a character of the same name. I’m autistic, nonbinary, and aro/ace like the Backrooms character I’m so notorious for writing. The main things that I do are game development and writing. I own a studio known as Nightpigeon Games. I also play a lot of video games, drum and sing, do a ton of photography, listen to a shitton of EDM music, and I’ve been reading a lot (huge fan of the Scythe series.) I’ve also been trough some serious stuff I’d prefer not to divulge here. The specifics of my trauma are something for only my closest friends to know, just know a lot of it has an impact on how I write. I said I was opening up a part of myself, not letting every thought I have get read by the internet like a book. Just open up the journal entry below and you’ll see what I wanted to share.
