Entity 299 - “The Fiends”
Habitat(s);
Any level with tight, dark rooms or hallways.
Description:
Fiends are tall, lengthy, alien-like creatures that roam dark rooms and hallways. Reaching from 7-15 ft in height, they roam through the tight halls and corridors of the Backrooms. unpredictable, Fiends are hard to see. Due to their umber colored bodies, most wanderers encounter Fiends without noticing one. Making them dangerous to face in their already dark habitat. Due to their behavior and habitat, they’re classified as dangerous. They live alone and places where things are quiet and still.
The Fiend is a rare entity. Only a handful of levels with tight mazes a wanderer can find this entity. M.E.G is attempting to gain research from encounter footage. They also try gaining research by watching a Fiend from afar. But when they attempt to do so, the Fiend chase them away.

Behavior:
The Fiends behavior is usually aggressive. No wanderer who has encountered this entity has seen it in its docile state yet, except for a few M.E.G workers. According to an M.E.G worker, Fiends becomes aggressive when someone touches or even brushes it. They recognize the person who touched it as a threat and immediately lock onto them. They say that Fiends are blind and deaf, but they have an enhanced sense of touch. They can tell which person has touched it. They theorize that the Fiend has a very bad threat perception.
Fiends travel on the ceiling or alongside the claustrophobic walls of random levels.
When Fiends senses sudden movement or touch, they go wherever the movement happens. If they find the person, or even entity, that moved or touched them, they utter a wheezed, eerie howl and give chase. Their howls cause trauma to wanderers.
When they get to their victims, the Fiend will grip their victims and inject the victim with a substance. The substance causes the victim to become paralyzed for a long period of time. They’ll soon drag them to a random spot in the level they're in and leave them there. They don’t seem to do anything to them right after, leaving them for entities to prey upon.
They always seem to hate entities that thrive in the Fiends territories. the Fiend chases them off of their territory to keep the area quiet, and still.
Since Fiends are blind and deaf, survivors theorize why the entity attacks those who touch it. Most of the majority theorize the entity is nervous or scared.
Biology:
It is hard to identify what Fiends actually looks like. But some survivors were able to describe what the entity looked like.
Fiends have 5 long legs that all have long fingers that vary from each limb. They either look like deformed hooves or long tentacles. The entity can either have 1 or 2 hoof or tentacle dominant legs. The head seems to be some odd blob, and they appear very elongated and beefy.
But, from other survivors, the entity's biology varied. According to some, Fiends instead have only 2 limbs instead of 5. Some even say that the entity had a different body shape.
Other survivors say that Fiend limbs can be so long that they look like normal pipes along the walls. Most theorized it looks like that to claim a large amount of territory for itself.
DISCOVERY
The Fiends discovery was on an unknown level on August 9th, 2008. A wanderer named Griffon was at an unknown level before encountering The Fiend. Griffon couldn't escape and the entity took him away. It is unsure if Griffon survived after that.
The footage started as Griffon stumbled into what seemed to be a tight, dark hallway. He ventures further, he takes a left turn and enters a tight room full of pipes. Griffon attempts to get through the tight room. As he moved forward his chest brushed on what looked like a brown spotted pipe, which was actually a Fiend limb.
As Griffon kept going forward, loud breathing bellowed from the darkness.
The camera shakes. As he sees a silhouette coming towards him, he stands still, thus encountering the Fiend.
The entity comes towards the frightened Griffon with a low groan. As he tried to run, the entity grabbed Griffon with an assumed tentacle dominated leg. The camera then fell and hit the floor, as Griffon was last seen dragged away by the Fiend.
