The Gas Station at a weekend.

Level # is the #th Level of the Backrooms


Level 185 is a old gas station made of cement near an exceedingly long highway. It's sign reads 'DIESEL', but some letters faded; leaving the word 'DIE'. The station includes both functional gas pumps and a shop-n-go, which will be discussed later on. Adjacent to it is multiple vehicles; two semi-trucks and a pickup. However, their engines are non-existent and thus do not function.

The approximate space taken by the gas station is 20㎡. The store itself adds another 10㎡. Inside, three neutral facelings wait in line, one of which is working the cash register. The cashier will notice anyone who opens the door and greet the newcomers with a nod of approval. The store shelves can be interacted with, as well as any item on it. The cashier faceling must first scan any items before being opened; failure to do so will result in the immediate hostility of all three facelings. You can not bring any items outside of the Level. Any 'bought' item will immediately disintegrate.

Usually stocked with food, water, and medical supplies, (and unlimited WIFI) it restocks every week, randomizing the items. One week it can be food and water, the next it can be pure cigarettes. It's not advised to camp out here, as not only don't rare items spawn, but if you stay past closing time, the cashier will become hostile.


There are at least three neutral facelings present. More can spawn at irregular times of day.

  • Run by Kelvyn, a former US Marine.
  • Oversees the station, protecting it from raiders.
  • Optimistic and friendly. Will listen to you, even when heavily drunk.

Interviewer: Please state your name for the record.

Kelvyn: Kelvyn, Kelvyn Millers.

Interviewer: Alright, how did you get to this level?

Kelvyn: I was looking for some fuel I could use to easily set things on fire. I mean, you'll never know when it might come in handy.

Interviewer: Ok… And, how did you exit this level?

Kelvyn: Easy. Just ask the cashier guy for directions.

Interviewer: Can you describe the level that you ended up in.

Kelvyn: Just an old gas station; it's got a pretty decent shop too.

Interviewer: Were you able to identify any entities? If so, are they hostile?

Kelvyn: Why yes. I found three pretty friendly facelings over at the store. They don't hurt anyone unless someone shoplifted.

Interviewer: A shop? Are there any supplies there?

Kelvyn: There sure is. Though some of it is sorta useless, considering how you can't bring any out.

Interviewer: Noted. How about psychological effect?

Kelvyn: I don't know, mate. Pretty hard to do that of you're the only human on the level.

Interviewer: Any closing remarks?

Kelvyn: Come on by any time you like! I'll give you everything you need in return for info and help.

Entrances And Exits:


Get here by finding an empty jerry can and shouting, "Damn! No gas". Jerry can locations are randomized; there is no pattern so far. Another entrance is through Level 11, by picking up a car model then entering an empty vehicle.


One can escape by asking for a map or directions. The faceling will gladly point you in the direction of a portal, which will bring you to your last visited level. There is a 27% probability you will be sent somewhere else.
