Level 276 is the 277th level of the Backrooms.

Description

The simplest description one could give Level 276 is that it is a point where one can go to most desired Levels inside of The Backrooms. Based on several testimonials, Level 276's "travel system" doesn't work most of the time, often sending people to the wrong Levels, not working at all, or even completely malfunctioning, leaving the person stuck inside the level for all eternity.

Level 276 has a complete lack of general appearance, being a translucent mass of air suspended in a blank void. Wanderers can float throughout the endless void with zero problems. It is thought that Level 276 can only hold one wanderer at a time.

How the travel system inside of Level 276 works is unknown, but it is theorized that it seems to take the Level that a wanderer wants to go to the most, and sends them there after approximately 1-2 hours.

Testimonials

Testimonial O-1.147

This testimonial was given by M.E.G Wild Warriors Team "Karl" member Ryan █████ after being in the level for approximately 3-4 hours and then getting sent to Level 11. He is currently inside an isolation ward in Level 109 getting treated for his brain injuries.

"Off the top of my memory, I was on a mission in Level 8, doing what my team usually does. I had left the team to search for supplies, but then I got lost somewhere, and then three Hounds were right on my tail. I tried to follow the instructions that the Major Explorer Group gave me, to run away as fast as I could. Well, I tried, but then I tripped and suddenly I'm in a complete blank void. I thought I passed out, and this was going to be the end of me. I basically had no idea where I was at. Then I waited, and waited, and waited. Suddenly, I'm outside of a store in Level 11. What the fuck even happened? Was this all a dream? Does this place even exist, or did I just do a spontaneous noclip and faint?"

Testimonial O-2.147

This testimonial was written on a piece of paper by a deaf person who is currently residing in a small base in Level 4. Their identity has been withheld by their request.

"I was inside of a section which I can't remember; I think there was some water slides there? If it's on your database, please send me an envelope with the name of it. Back to where I was. I thought that it was a safe section, but after exploring for a while I quickly realized that it wasn't safe at all. I saw a yellow monster with a smiley face run to me from a red water slide, and I had no idea what to do. I tried to run, but it the monster was too fast for me. Right when it was going to reach me, I teleported to a white place full of air. I tried to move around and I felt like I was flying around in the sky. I got bored quickly and though that I had been stuck here forever, but then I was suddenly sent to a section which looked like a roller rink. I loved it, and wanted to stay there forever. They had free food, entertainment, and everything I liked! Unfortunately, a bit of time later, I touched a pair of roller skates and got sent to the first section I was in. If you could tell me a way to enter this section from here, that would be greatly appreciated."

Testimonials O-3.147 to O-8.147 - Failed

An operative was sent to the group residing inside of [hLevel 6.1; "The Guild of Many" to seek for more information about Level 276. They sent messages over a walkie-talkie, and said that they were not able to find anyone who could remember being sent into Level 276. They have not been seen since. Several other operatives and volunteers were sent to The Guild of Many with the same task, but it seems that most of them have had the same outcome as the first operative.
