Reality Glass is an extremely rare substance that can act like a bridge between the Backrooms, it is mainly used by M.E.G., The Lost, and THE UNBOUND.
Reality Glass has two forms, inactive and active. The active form is what allows traveling between levels.
Description
The inactive form is the natural state that you find reality glass. Reality Glass looks and has the properties of standard glass. The only exception is the glass is extremely durable and can withstand firesalt blasts, getting crushed with a two-hundred pound steel block (incident), And can even withstand Black Lightning.
The inactive version of reality glass are small shards of glass, usually only one is found in a large area.
These are extremely hard to find and can be easily confused with normal glass. The two identifiable qualities are its extremely durable nature and its translucence.
The inactive form serves no purpose other than to make the active form of the glass.
The active form of reality glass has the transportation qualities as previously stated. It can provide somewhat unharmful travel throughout the Backrooms.
Active glass is visibly liquid although being in a fixed position it can be altered with the human body. When a person runs through the Active Reality Glass the liquid-like glass will envelope the body, when enough pressure is exerted the glass will shatter, creating a no-clip point. The no-clip point will be a fixed point acting like a rift in space. This rift stays open as long as the no-clip point is stable. A stable rift will continue working until it becomes unstable.
In order to become unstable the rift must be used multiple times until it reaches the point of total collapse. The bigger the object, the more the rift will become unstable. Active Reality Glass can be put together to form any size Active Glass Rift.
The rift will not activate until an object big enough can push through the liquid glass, successfully fracturing to create the no-clip rift. The bigger the rift the more unstable it will be and the more force needed to fracture it.
No-Clip zones
While using active glass the no-clip rift opens to a completely random level, seemingly the glass creates a jagged cut in space making a no-clip zone. A way to control this is setting up two Reality Glass zones and activating them at approximately the same time. If lucky, the two jagged cuts will intertwine, creating a two-way rift to no-clip successfully back-and-forth.
Reality Glass testing
1. (Upon initial discovery)
(Transported a total of 7 Wanderers with 2 canisters of almond water)
(Transported to level 409 from level 1) surprisingly did not rupture paper)
phenomena seen: area around rift collapse was notably blurry upon collapse.
2.(testing properties)
(Transported a Wanderer with a squirt gun filled with liquid pain)
(Transported to level 205 from level 1)
phenomena seen: area around rift was clearer than usual, colors were sharper, and rift
did not collapse at first, Wanderer re-entered the rift and emerged back at starting
point.
3.(Testing other level capabilities)
(Transported 3 Wanderers with a large arsenal of firesalt and liquid pain grenades)
(Transported to level 369 from level 11)
Phenomena seen: Rift collapsed upon entry; small explosion seen from both ends of
rift. Only one wounded with broken finger, Wanderer fully recovered.
4. (Testing if stability can be kept longer than past attempts)
(Transported 25 Wanderers and a large amount of supplies)
(Transported to level 196 from level 1)
(Wanderers found a door that contained large amounts of bricks, exactly seventy-three
bricks transported back before collapse)
Differences used: Reality Freshener was placed nearby the rifts on both ends.
Phenomena seen: No abnormalities until collapse. Both reality fresheners destroyed
upon rift collapse
