level 560, main house

Level 560 is the 561st level of the Backrooms. This level is an infinite meadow with houses on it.

Description

Level 560 is an endless meadow, although 500 by 500 square meters of it has been explored so far.
Level doesn't only include meadow, there are also many old-burnt and adobe houses in it. Level also has a calming effect, which is thought to be sourced from the level meadow itself. Although geographic devices such as GPS do not work at the level 560, but the Internet works well and it is possible to communicate through the signal. the amount of oxygen on the level is very high and apparently does not run out, but it does not have a constant trend either. the level has a sun, which is smaller than a normal sun. There is no day and night cycle in the level, but the way the sun shines changes during the day.The weather is always clear and bright. The level temperature changes at different times of the day, for example, at 8 am (GMT), the temperature is between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius, while this temperature reaches 24 to 30 degrees at 4 pm (GMT). The coldest temperature in Level is between 3 am and 5 am (GMT) when it reaches 10 degrees Celsius.

The level contains a seemingly endless supply of almond water found in the mined and carved parts of the level.

The level was discovered by M.E.G on April 26, 19##. The level includes several places :

main house

The main house is the first place most wanderers encounter after entering the level. It is basically a two-story adobe house with a gable that is 70 meters long, 60 meters wide and 45 meters high.

The house is a private M.E.G facility and no one is allowed to enter (except for the top ranks of the organization). No one should know what goes on in the house and who lives there. This is completely confidential.

Abandoned residential complex

residential complex, picture is from 2009

Abandoned residential complex is a large, multi-story, old building that was discovered in 2001 by M.E.G.
Basically, this (apparently abandoned) residential complex is 190m away from the main house (assuming the main house is in the middle of the level map). The lowest amount of oxygen at level 560 is on the ground and first floors of this residential complex, and an M.E.G research center has also been built on the ground floor of this complex.
The residential complex is not just one tall skyscraper, but several tall skyscrapers! The main residential complex itself basically shows signs of building collapse and rust and there are not many signs of fire, while the rest of the buildings (which are smaller than this residential complex) seem to have been destroyed by fire. .
Contrary to the deceiving appearance of this area, there are no entities of any kind in this area (and in the level).
Because the staircase is destroyed after the 12th floor, exploration beyond the 11th floor is not possible. M.E.G engineers believe that the residential complex has 35 floors, of which 5 floors collapsed and fell down from the top of the building. Their theory seems correct, because there is a sign of bending and tilting in the facade of the complex.
The burned ruins that are right next to the residential complex also prove the words of the engineers.
The residential complex and apartments have also been searched, but no examples of an entity, signs of civilization, or anything else have been discovered (except for the things in the residential complex that are explained at the end of the page). Extremely small amounts of liquid pain are also located in the basement of the complexes.

Gray village

Missing alt text.

A photo of a house from Gray Village, the identity of the person who took the photo is unknown, but it is definitely a wanderer

Gray village is actually an old and big village that is 30 to 55 meters away from the main house. Through the middle of this village, there is a road that starts from the main house and, as far as it has been discovered, continues to customs.
Gray village was discovered in 19## by explorers M.E.G. The reason for the name of this village is that artificial gray color is used in the interior walls of the village houses.
There are no signs of entities in the village, but there are traces of the existence of people who lived in this village before the so-called "Great Burning Fire".
Currently, an M.E.G. military-research office has been built in the village and the area is carefully guarded, although wanderers are allowed to visit the area (not the office) .

Mine

Mine, Second entrance

Mine is a mined section and one of the most civilized places at level 560 and seems to be the second place (after the main house) that wanderers reach. Its distance to the main house is about 50 meters. The dimensions of the mine itself are unknown, but it has an electricity supply network. Attempts to locate the source have been unsuccessful.
The mine apparently has three main entrances: one entrance that most wanderers come across is made of an iron door.
The second entrance has no "door" at all and is just a small hole (as seen in the photo).
And the last entrance (which is the farthest entrance from the main house) is apparently a small dug tunnel leading to a part of the mine.
The mine contains extremely large and possibly unlimited amounts of almond water, which is contained in small rooms, boxes, or embedded underground. A large part of the mine has been discovered and two food collection centers have been built in it, which are friendly and allow you to buy almond water.
The mine was discovered in 19## by the "Alpha Patrol" researchers of M.E.G.
No signs of entities have been discovered in the mine, but apparently the area itself can evoke a strange feeling in a person, which includes anxiety for something to happen, paranoid and mistrust of people. these feelings end after coming out of the mine and walking in the meadow.
Continuing in the mine will either take you to the "Endless Sea" or you'll go to level 6.

  • Endless sea: The endless sea is located in the depths of the mine, and to reach it, you have to go through ways that are both dark and paranoid. After going through the mine for a while, you will come to a part of the mine that has gone too far down. When you go down the corridor and into the great darkness that is there, you will notice that there is flowing water in front of you (some have said that they first heard it and then saw it). The water is shallow, to the extent that you cannot drown yourself in it. There is also no living thing in the water and the continuation of the water is unclear (because it is so dark there). It has been found that when the body is in contact with water, the paranoid feeling (and the rest of the mentioned feelings) is reduced to an almost significant extent. As long as the body is wet, this function continues. Scientists are still not sure what the water is made of, or whether the last water molecules must be removed for it to disappear, or any other question. Of course, the level of paranoia involved in finding the way to this sea may cause incurable mental and psychological problems and even cause symptoms like PTSD, so the search for the origin of the endless sea is closed until further notice.

Customs

Customs, front section fences and abandoned cars. That side of the fence is one of the undiscovered lands

Customs is the last place in Level that was discovered during the last research (in 2011). The customs is an abandoned and dilapidated border customs, and it is located in the northernmost part of the current Level map.
Through the middle of the customs, there is a road that starts from the main house, and so far no other exploration missions have been discovered, and the reason for that is the presence of indestructible fences in almost the northern half of the level map. The fences are lower in the customs, so it is likely that there will still be exploration capability in the more northerly positions.
Customs is perhaps the most dangerous location in the entire level 560, due to the fact that it has poison gas in some locations (more on that below).
Customs has three general sections: the main office, the basement and the fenced yard.

  • The main office : The main office is the main place inside the customs, which consists of a series of small abandoned offices and a small shop in the back part. The main office and the fenced yard are the only places where signs of life can be seen: paintings drawn on some of the office walls, files and manuscripts of bad news and fires, the presence of fingerprints on Some desks and finally, a human leg bone lying in one of the offices. A sheet was also found, the only content of which was a weekly timetable with different times for each day written on it. It is known that these numbers are actually the exact times for the possible occurrence of the level event, that is, "earthquake 560" (more on that later). The main office has relatively healthy air, however, researchers suggest not to spend too much time in air-conditioned offices without a gas mask, as effects of short-term headaches have been reported. The current theory is that the (defunct) air conditioning system is also connected to the basement, which contains toxic gases.
  • Basement : The basement is the most dangerous location in the entire customs and by far, the entire level. The basement can be entered through an iron door near a fence, although after entering through the iron door, you will encounter M.E.G. forces. Only high-ranking researchers are allowed official entry and exit. The basement contains unknown toxic gases and is extremely dark, while night vision cameras or flashlights can't reveal anything. No drawing of the shape of the basement is provided because even being there too much (with a mask) would still be fatal. Some explorers have said by wireless that they have discovered a source of gas. But unfortunately, these were their last words. It is recommended not to go towards it at all. This is the worst place in this level to explore.
  • Fenced yard : The fenced yard is the largest location in the customs (basement area is uncertain so it is not counted) and is similar to a normal customs yard. The road passes right through the middle of this yard and meets the fence, although it continues. The yard has several old and rusty cars and other than that, there is no sign of life in it. The fences do not tear, burn, rust and do not suffer a single bit of damage.

Level Event : earthquake 560

Earthquake 560 is the name for the only event of this level that occurs randomly, but if it is supposed to occur, it occurs at certain hours of the day. This event is basically a 4 or 5 magnitude earthquake that shakes the whole level, but at most (which is random) it only lasts for half a minute, and interestingly, this earthquake does not affect any of the level's houses (even the M.E.G. centers ), although it may cause spillage inside them. The order of occurrence of this event in days is as follows:
Saturday, 13:02 or 16:11 (GMT)
Sunday, 17:54 or 19:01 (GMT)
Monday, 7:39 or 15:15 (GMT)
Tuesday, 22:00 (GMT)
Wednesday, 14:59 or 23:07 (GMT)
Thursday, 5:00 or 9:12 or 18:36 (GMT)
Friday, 1:13 or 23:44 (GMT).
This tabulation is available to all employees of M.E.G centers throughout the level so that they are all ready for the event.

Bases, Outposts and Communities

(This section does not include the M.E.G bases that have been mentioned so far)

Pablo's building

Pablo's building is located near the mine and is a small one-story adobe house. There lives a man named Pablo Dimondia who (at the time of writing) is 38 years old, military, and from England. Pablo is a friendly person, but he is a bit lazy and quiet. Pablo brings a full bottle of mine's almond water to each person who has just come to the level and visited him, but asks for money or something to trade for next time.

Aid community

"Aid Community" is the name of a community whose headquarters is in a barren location in the southwest of the level (although its forces operate throughout the level). this community helps wanderers to equip themselves with almond water, food, and other things they may need to continue their journey in the Backrooms. the aid community has about 240 members and its main location is a wide and long (but low) building with about 1,500 single rooms equipped with modern necessities, such as toilets and water and electricity. the Community does not tell anyone how the water and electricity of its place is still working, or how it collects the necessary materials, and this has caused division and mistrust of M.E.G with the community. The head of the community is a person nicknamed "Sail".

organization for the protection of wanderers

"The Organization for the protection of wanderers" is a small organization of about 70 members that is a patrol force. Often, the organization patrols areas undiscovered by the M.E.G. Or in the areas near the main house, they look for wanderers who say they are lost. The organization is armed. The main headquarters of the organization is located in an unknown area in the south.

Entrances and exits

Entrances

The main method of entering the level is somewhat unclear and somewhat random. It seems that this happens mostly as a noclip and when a person thinks about being comfortable and relaxed in the meadow. Most wanderers claim to enter in the same way and often at levels 50 to 70.

exits

The only surefire way is to enter level 6 through the mine.
