Level 191 is the 192th Level of the Backrooms. It consists of an unsettling of feeling watched..


Level 191 is a foggy everlasting suburb area with no signs of residents. There is no diurnal cycle- forever keeping the skies at a dull greenish grey gradient. Areas within Level 191 are reminiscent to those at the Frontrooms consisting with old trees, bushes, wide roads, basic wooden houses, streetlamps and road accessories. Although there are no inhabitants, abnormally huge crows can be seen cawing at Wanderers almost ᵃˢ ᶦᶠ ᶦᵗ’ˢ ᵃⁿ ᵃˡᵉʳᵗ

Houses within Level 191 are designed like typical suburban households and posses almost no decoration. Breaking into a locked house will drop anyone straight into a void, either erasing the Wanderer from existence or no-clipping them into Level 0. Contradictorily, entering an unlocked house will reveal a monochromatic box that is smaller than the exterior of the construction. Floating items such as Almond Water, Memory Jar, Royal Rations and Lucky O’ Milk are obtainable. Occasionally a Level Key can be found in the doorknob from the inside of the box.

Wanderers that enter Level 191 are required to instantaneously seek for shelter due to the severe threat of 'The Rupture'

The Entity

'The Rupture' is an entity roaming inside of Level 191. 'The Rupture' is a humanoid like eyeball that either levitates or is supported by it's tenticles that reach the ground from astonishing distances. The eyeball is estimated to be around 10 meters tall while the tenticles seem to have no limit to how far it can stretch.

If it detects human presence it will trigger an active state causing a dense cloud of fog to disperse, revealing the abomination hiding in the skies. It will approach directly at any Wanderer that had been detected at high speeds. Direct eye contact with ‘The Rupture’ results in the Wanderer being strangled to death by the monster’s gaze. If they are not looking at the entity, voices of distorted screaming such as “LOOK BEHIND” or “ACCEPT YOUR DESTINY” can be heard, taking over the mind and resulting in the Wanderer turning around. It is presumed the creature devours the victim's corpse using an unknown method.

The only record of a Wanderer escaping their demise was when they took out a Consequential Cube and fortunately teleported to Level 0 through one of the item’s gimmicks. When the Wanderer is either dead or somehow escaped,‘The Rupture’ will become inactive and fade into the skies, camouflaging into the fog.
