SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY:
Class 2
- Unsafe
- Secure
- Low Entity Count
Description
Level 830 is a series of beige hallways with little to no decorations. Each hall is defined based on the placement of 4 distinct rooms, after 6 m (20 ft) a new copy of those rooms will appear. A wanderer entering this level will be alone, even if they were travelling with a group.1 Due to the 45 minute time limit, it is unknown if the level is finite so it is assumed to be infinite. Notably there are windows that can show light, despite the layout of this level making that impossible. The color coming from the windows on Level 830 indicate that it is dusk, despite the alarm clock reading 7:45 pm upon first entrance.
Kids Bedroom
This will be the first place a wanderer will see, usually has nostalgic items relevant to their childhood. The room will have a toy box, a closet with no door, an empty hamper, and the same bed used to enter the level; the room only has two working lights, a night light and a side lamp. Despite the fact this is a kids room, the closet will have clothes that will fit the wanderer perfectly. On a similar note, the bed will be one of the most comfortable to sleep in, even though the size of the bed is meant for children.
Guest Bathroom
Across the hall about 1.5 m (5 ft) away from the kids room is the guest bathroom, it is very narrow and has one window next to the tub. The walls of this room have pinstripe wallpaper that is navy blue with light blue strips and anchors of the same color. The window across the room has its blinds fully lowered, these blinds can be raised but this isn't recommended since the draw string can break. All the objects on the tub edges and on the sink counter are all child brands.2 An anomaly in all the bathrooms is that the temperature will remain the same, even when turning the faucets.
These variants of the guest bathroom can result in harm or in the breaking of rules.3 Wanderers should avoid these rooms if the time outside of the window is either daytime or nighttime; this causes the water inside of the shower to be blisteringly hot or bitterly cold. Every guest bathroom should investigate to see if all the required items to escape without punishment are there (shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash). Watch the lighting in the room, if the shower light is flickering then there is a risk of electrocution. If the light is flickering above the sink, the sink will clog and flood when turned on. If there is no window in the bathroom, wanderers should leave, as the water will either be a different liquid or a key piece of piping will break. Sometimes this can be both at once, which can result in unpredictable dangers and will also guarantee one of the rules being broke.
Master Bedroom
If you make the first turn you see, you should find one more door, this is the master bedroom. The room has grey walls, a few windows that have large curtains cover them, and a large bed. The bed has a king sized bed with either a floral pattern or a plaid pattern. On the opposite side of the room with windows is a closed door, this is the master bathroom and impossible to enter, but there has been a brief glimpse inside and it is pitch black.
Master Bathroom
Based on the few glimpses into the room, it appears like a normal bathroom, however it is abnormally dark. A sink counter with 2 sinks as well as a few products are visible, the reflection barely shows that there is a painting of an ocean on the opposite wall. If you reach for the knob or just knock on the door, a voice will answer from the other side which will give wanderers a sense of dread. This voice will sound like an important parental figure in your life, even if that person has died.4 They will usually have a calm but still commanding tone. They will say something along the lines of, "You need to sleep, you got school tomorrow." There is variety on this statement due to how a wanderer's parent might have talked. If you interact a second time they will sound more agitated but still try to keep the hushed tone. Typically they will state, "You should get going, otherwise you'll be in big trouble!" Do not annoy this entity past this point, otherwise you will experience consequences for it.
Entities
There is only one entity on this level, this entity will be named The Surrogate due to how it acts around wanderers that enter Level 830. The Surrogate is a humanoid entity that appears like a very simple wireframe shape of an important parental figure in the wanderer's childhood. The wires appear to be made out of plastic, this plastic moves smoothly when flexing their joints. When talking it shifts colors, the brightness changes depending on how emotional or loud they are. If you listen to it and don't mess up the rules, The Surrogate will become bright and will hug you; the opposite
happens if you get in major trouble, darkening and giving out a punishment. It has been noted that The Surrogate does remember wanderers if they have entered this level several times. But due to the nature of Level 830, these interactions are brief.
Bases, Outposts and Communities
There are no known bases, outposts or communities on this level.
Rules
These are the rules that you should not break as doing so will result in harsher punishment from The Surrogate. Harsher punishments will occur based on how severe of an action you took:
Small Rules
All the rules below will result in something of minimal importance being taken if any are broken:
- You must wear pajamas to bed (sweatpants get a pass).
- Don't annoy The Surrogate 3 or more times.
- Do not get your clothes wet (including the new clothes you wear).
Medium Rules
These rules result in one major item of importance being taken by The Surrogate if any are broken:
- Don't use all the hot water.
- Don't clog the toilet or flood the sinks.
- Put your old clothes in the hamper.
- Don't waste toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, deodorant, and mouthwash.
- Don't go to bed without drying off.
- Don't go to sleep naked (this also applies to being in just undergarments).
Big Rules
If any of these rules are broken, you will lose any items you brought with you or tried to steal:
- Do not steal.
- Don't break anything.
- Don't try to attack The Surrogate.
- Do not skip any part of the getting ready to sleep.
- Don't talk back to The Surrogate.
- Go to bed before 8:30 pm.
Entrances And Exits
All of the ways of entering and leaving involve a kids bed, however exiting the level involves several steps that must completed under 45 minutes. If all goes right you will escape Level 830 with no issues if all the rules are followed.
Entrances
There is currently one way of entering Level 830 with a low success rate. Find a child sized bed inside of Level 9. Once found, get under the covers and go to sleep. If successful you will be in the kids bedroom in Level 830.
Exits
The only way to escape this level is be getting ready for bed. In order to this, walk towards the closet and pick out a set of pajamas that you would typically wear. Head towards the guest bathroom and set your clothes down somewhere. You can go in any order of brushing and showering/ bathing. After you finish cleaning up, get dressed in your sleepwear and go back to the kids room.
If you got to the bed before 8:30 pm, The Surrogate will walk in and have their arms out for a hug. Once the hug is done, you may get into the bed and fall asleep.
After 7 or 8 hours, the wanderer will end up in either Level 9, Level 114, Level 410, and Level 979.
