Level 880 - "The Deserted Tropics"
SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY:
Class habitable
- {$one}
- Stable Environment
- {$three}
Level 880 is the 881st level of the Backrooms. It is quite peaceful, I must say.
It's beautiful, isn't it?
Description
Level 880 is a serene tropical archipelago located within a seemingly infinite lukewarm ocean. Not only is it paradise, but it contains at least 12 islands for wanderers to explore. Each island has tropical rainforests with canopies that allow the eternal sunlight to seep in. The temperature of this level is around 23°C at all times, but the water's temperature fluctuates depending on how close/far you are away from the islands. The water's temperature will be lukewarm if you are close, but the farther you go, the colder it gets1, until you're back in Level 7. Why even bother going back there? Do you want Tiny to pierce you with it's spear? Anyways, not only do the islands contain flora from the Frontrooms, but they also contain fauna from the Frontrooms as well. Specifically, ones that have gone extinct, as well as some that are still around today. The extinct animals inhabiting this level are as followed:
•Thylacine
•Passenger Pigeon
•Great Auk
•Celicanth
Bases, Outposts and Communities
There are no known bases, outposts or communities on this level, but it isn't too late to establish one, this is paradise after all.
Additional Content
Feel free to rename this section and/or add any content in relation with that level.
You can also add more sections just make sure to add them between the Base/Outpost/Community section and the Entrances/Exits section
If you have nothing to add simply remove this section
Entrances And Exits
Entrances
You can enter this level by going far west of the Entrance Room on Level 7. If you happen to be in Level 7 right now, follow this, and you shall end up here in no time.
Exits
So far, the only known way to exit this beautiful level is to noclip into the dormant volcano, which will take you to Level 139. But what's of the point of taking that treacherous trial when you can just stay? Oh well, if you want to become Fearless, then go for it.
You've made it out of Level 7, wanderer. But a new wasteland is waiting…
Level 880 - "Volcanic Isles of Despair"
SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY:
Class deadzone
- {$one}
- Near Unihabitable
- Presence of Anomalous Entities
This wasn't what you were expecting, wasn't it?
Level 880 is the 881st level of the Backrooms. It is contrary to what Submission A had said. It is no such thing as "paradise".
Description
Level 880 is a depressing group of volcanic islands in the middle of an endless ocean. Each of the 12 islands contain what appears to be the remnants of a once-tropical rainforest, albeit having lava and basalt.
Bases, Outposts, and Communities
There are no known bases, outposts, or communities on this level. Why would you ever try to establish one anyways?
Additional Content
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
The only known way to enter this lifeless place, is to sail far west of Level 7's Entrance room. Sucessfully entering this level is a difficult task, but what's the point?
Exits
There is only one way to exit this level, and you must do it as fast as possible. To do so, you must immediately run towards the erupting volcano as fast as possible, before any of the creatures corner you. Once you're there, jump into the lava, it is the only way to escape. You will then end up at Level 139.

Anonymous: Um… [REDACTED], you might want to come see this…
Anonymous: See what?
Anonymous: You know that recent article about Level 880?
Anonymous: I sure do, what about it?
Anonymous: Well, I don't know how to tell you this… but a new article about Level 880 just came up, and it's… completely contradictory to the first one.
Anonymous: How so?
Anonymous: Well… instead of talking about Level 880 as some kind of paradise, this one depicts it as a "depressing wasteland".
Anonymous: Interesting… May I have a look?
Anonymous: Sure, go ahead.
Anonymous hands a copy of the article to Anonymous.
Anonymous: Volcanic Isles of Despair? Sounds a bit dramatic, but I'll read it anyway, I guess.
Anonymous finishes reading the article.
Anonymous: Nevermind, the name fits this level perfectly. What the hell does it mean that there's monstrous creatures there vaguely resembling animals from the Frontrooms?
Anonymous: I'm pretty sure it means that there's monstrous creatures there. But in any case, do we even have an explanation on how this level changed?
Anonymous: Well, the first article does mention a dormant volcano that leads to Level 139, so that could probably be the cause. Regardless, something does not sit right with me when I look at the two side by side. Actually, now that I think about it, there's no way the lava could've spread all the way across the islands already, there's only one volcano.
Anonymous: …You're right, something doesn't seem right about all of this. W-What should we do?
They pause for a moment, before Anonymous finally responds.
Anonymous: I have an idea, how about you and me venture into the level ourselves? That way, we can figure out what exactly is going on.
Anonymous: Are you kidding me!? What if the level is exactly how this article potrays it? It could be life-threatening if we head in there!
Anonymous: Relax, we'll bring the proper equipment, just in case. Besides, there's really no other alternative to solve this mystery… so we basically have no choice.
Anonymous: Alright, that makes me feel a bit better. But we should do this first thing in the morning though, after all, we need sleep, it's literally 3 o'clock.
Anonymous: Sounds like a plan, but we should gather up supplies right now so we don't have to do it tomorrow.
Anonymous: Alright, let's get ready.
