Level 576.1: "Forgotten School" is the first sub-level of Level 576. Don't attempt to take picture or recordings, the device that is used to do so will explode in your hands.
Description
Level 576.1 is the first and only known sub-level of Level 576. It has been discovered on the same day as level 576 due to a flood of reports that date back to be over a year old. The reason why these reports were not sent until now is unknown and presumed to be caused by Level 576 itself. Level 576.1 is a school building that consists of multiple levels which are composed of classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and stairways. The entire level has a very off and dark feeling. Reports submitted have often had detailed thoughts of paranoia and overwhelming fear that the level seems to produce. The level has Wi-Fi that seems to be generated by the level itself for an unknown reason and reports have been sent which is how the Level has so much information.
Hallways
The hallways of Level 576.1 are very dark and dusty, it is futile to bring an artifical light source as they don't work in this level do to an unknown factor, all rooms and hallways are able to be barely seen in by wanderers. The hallways show signs of deterioration in the form of cracks, peeling paint, as well as some chunks of walls completely missing, giving way to a dark void. Although it has been deemed to be impossible to fall into this part as the chunks missing are never large enough for someone to fall through. These hallways seem to stretch out infinitely and constantly lead to other rooms. There are occasionally lockers strewn across the walls of the hallways. Most are empty and devoid of life or resources apart from the occasional supply or bottle of Almond Water. Wanderers report hearing screams and growls echoing throughout the halls. These screams are child-like and are extremely loud. The source is confirmed to be caused by "The Ghost Children", which is unknown to be an affect of the level or a level exclusive entity. Often adding a high sense of alert, fear, and paranoia to wanderers, however, these "Ghost Children" are never seen in the hallways. The hallways are also home to other entities, reports of Smilers, Skin Stealers and Hounds have frequently surfaced. These entities are more docile than usual, appearing to be slightly in fear themselves. It is theorized that by some phenomena, the levels affect of fear and paranoia affects entities as well as humans. It is also possible that there is a larger and far more dangerous entity lurking around the level. However, there has been no confirmations as of date. These entities do not immediately attack but will if one gets to close, acting more as a corned animal than a hostile entity. This factor causes the attacks to be more ferocious. Fake exits appear occasionally throughout the hallways which are identified as door with a sign that says "EXIT" above. These fake exits give wanderers false hope by making them believe they are safe and are able to exit. A report from a victim of this states:
"I thought I found an exit but I was wrong, I was fucking wrong… I opened the door to be greeted by a wall on the other side. No matter how hard I tried to destroy the wall it was useless… This place is a living hell…
I give up…
Goodbye…".
The victim is confirmed to be dead.
Classrooms
The classrooms of Level 576.1 are also very dark, they contain old and run down desks as well as whiteboards, and a few occasional cabinets, although these are not located in all of the classrooms, appearing in every 10 classrooms or so. The cabinets in these rooms usually hold items that aren't very useful such as paper and school equipment such as pencils, erasers, sharpeners, etc. However, they will occasionally hold Almond Water that is safe to consume. The classrooms are very dusty and smell old, making them feel long abandoned. The classrooms give off a feeling of paranoia to wanderers due to the constant darkness. Smilers are occasionally found lurking in these rooms (every fifteen or so), and if a room does have one or more smilers, then it should be avoided. Reports have also stated that wanderers often encounters "The Ghost Children", thinking they see ghostly children seated in the chairs close to the desks, staring at them with wide black eyes and empty mouths. However when they turn and look, there is nothing there. Some wanderers have even reported feeling a freezing breath on the back of their neck. These hallucinations and tricks of the mind in these classrooms quickly add to the draining mental state of a wanderer, leading to panic attacks, heightened paranoia, and psychosis. If you see these "Ghost Children" while inside of one of these classrooms, attempt to exit immediately if you are in no immediate danger. Occasionally, it has been reported that the fake exit doors that give the false hope to the victims of Level 576.1 also appear in the furthest corner of the classroom. These rooms should only be entered momentarily for the possibility of supplies or shelter from hostile entities that decide to attack.
Stairways
The stairways of Level 576.1 are pitch black, no natural light occurs in these parts, apart from the dim glow of the "EXIT" sign of fake exits. Strangely, there have been no reports of deceased wanderers or entities located in the stairwells despite the darkness being the perfect location for smilers and other hostile entities to inhabit. One can choose to go higher up or higher down in the stairways to reach a separate hallway. It has been reported by wanderers that the stairways have a certain allure to it, almost as if they're calling out for them to go deeper into the level. It has been reported that the further one goes up or down in the level, the quicker they're mental state will deteriorate due to Level 576.1's affects and the more aggressive entities become. Entering a new hallway does not change this factor, in fact the rooms that induce paranoia and a drop in mental state do so at a faster rate. It has also been found that the deeper into the level a wanderer travels, the more run down and unstable the level becomes. While there have been no reports of the deeper parts of the level collapsing, wanderers almost always succumb to the overwhelming sense of dread and paranoia that takes over them before that happens, ultimately leading to there demise. Therefore, it is unknown whether the level graduates to a level where the loss of stability is enough to become a key dangerous factor. Fake exits are always found next to the door of a new hallway on the left hand side of a wanderer. As previously stated this door is just to give the wanderer false hope. Don't try to enter it, just keep moving or accept your fate.
IF YOU TRAVEL DEEPER YOUR FATE IS SEALED…
THERE IS NO RETURN…
Bathrooms
The bathrooms of this level are extremely run down. There are often broken toilets and sinks, as well as pipes leaking an unknown sludge. The bathrooms also seem the most mentally tormenting out of the level's locations. Wanderers have constantly reported a feeling of despair and a stronger sense of paranoia than what was felt in the hallways and classrooms, even when first entering the level. Staying for more than a minute can (although not always) cause wanderers to be terrified and paranoid to a mind-breaking degree. Staying in the bathroom for any amount of time has lead to a feeling as if someone or something is touching them on the shoulder or back, it is reported to feel cold, sending shivers throughout their entire body. The deafeningly loud screams, of "The Ghost Children" have been reported in every bathroom. This is always accompanied by their faces appearing in wanderers peripheral vision, as well as running and jumping at them with remarkable speeds. There have also been reports of being shoved with great force by these ghosts when wanderers attempt to run out of the bathrooms, usually leading to minor injuries from falls to more severe injuries such as concussions. Upon the falling of the wanderer, the ghosts are heard giggling and laughing. However some people manage to escape. Anyone who has experienced these high levels of mental state decreasing events don't usually last more than 5 minutes before attempting to put an end to the overwhelming fear and paranoia that consumes them, which leads to there inevitable demise. One such wanderers report states:
"I walked into the bathrooms and saw another wanderer, the first I had seen in hours… or was it days… I don't know anymore. He sobbed hysterically in complete fear before telling me to run. Immediately after he ran as fast as he could into the wall head first. I left as I heard his body hit the floor."
If one travels deeper into the level and decides to enter one of these bathrooms then the mental toll becomes increasingly severe. The bathrooms have never been found to have the false exits that every other room in the level has. The bathrooms of Level 576.1 have been deduced as being only occupied by "The Ghost Children".
Entities
Level 576.1 has very few entities that appear, these being Smilers, Hounds, and Skin Stealers.
Bases, Outposts, and Communities
Due to the significant mental toll that takes place mostly on humans as well as the high entity count there are no bases in Level 576.1
Entrances and Exits
