Level 343 - "Telecom Desert"

After years of searching, we have successfully found the original revision of Level 343 after the Bluesky Telecom overwrites the original description.

We apologize for the huge delay of the retrieval, but we have pulled it off.

Description

Reports of Level 343 are at least semi-consistent. The level is described as a dim, greyscale, and barren desert of stone and sand. No geological structures such as hills and mesas are present on its surface. The sky, if one exists, is covered entirely in thick, opaque clouds. Despite the lack of a visible light source, the level is always lit enough to be visible, even lacking shadows altogether. Temperature is unanimously reported as “nonexistent”, in the sense that it is an unobservable detail. Wifi and other such electromagnetic signalling is eternally present in the level, although any information coming out of the level is subject to the same aforementioned effect. No living entities have been reported thus far, so we can determine that this level has no entities. But it does pose a mental hazard.

The most notable physical detail of the level is the abundance of large structures resembling the bones and skeletons of massive creatures — the only known structures in the level — towering over onlookers as if this were a graveyard of giants. If they were once alive, no living instances have ever been observed in the level, and they do not match the descriptions of any entities currently in our database. The bones in question vary in state — some as intact skeletons, and others as fragments strewn about the landscape. A number of them were reported to have been in positions unnatural or downright impossible for dead creatures — such as standing — and these positions are often supported by seemingly artificial structures, though it’s difficult to imagine that any humans could have been responsible for them. In addition to this, a large chunk of these skeletons have various structures or devices attached and/or fused to them. They are typically of advanced design and unknown in origin and function, though some parts have been reported to resemble things such as sections of cell towers, satellite dishes, and various other antennae (of the electronic kind).

Entities

A giant skeleton. Recolored by the M.E.G

Due to the info above, no entities have been seen or reported in this level. Save for the massive skeletons here.

Perhaps the most significant of the structures is a semi-complete, semi-humanoid skeleton that towers over the others. Its spine is somewhat erect, partially held up by long, thick metal poles bolted to the ground. Atop and across the back of this spine is constructed a large structure that has been described to resemble the Eiffel Tower, a giant science fiction weapon, or a telecommunications tower, amongst other things. This discrepancy likely indicates that it is none of these things exactly, though it is possible the structure changes in appearance. Whatever it is, it’s no doubt the centrepiece of all this, and it certainly has all the answers.

Bases, Outposts and Communities

Due to the nature of this level, no bases or outposts have been established. However, because wanderers do not die in this level, whether intentional or unintentional, it is possible to set up here.

Additional Content regarding Level 343

Over years, Bluesky Telecom had removed the revision of this level, replacing it with their website and the level was renamed to "Need a way to contact people across all these pesky levels?". However, via footnotes, we actually managed to describe Level 343, but we also do not present images and its real name, but we try our best to describe the level to you.

Entrances And Exits

Fortunately for everyone, those who venture into Level 343 always make it out alive. However, this does not mean they come out the same person that they came in.

Entrances

-On Level 308, venturing far beyond through the desert (at least 2000 miles in), will cause the environment to gradually lose color. Upon reaching 10 miles in, you are now in Level 343. The same goes for Level 46.

-Opening a door in Level 843 that has a greyscale desert will serve as an entrypoint to this level.

-Its possible if one finds a door that has an electrical sign in it that leads directly here. This is found in either Level 33, 315, 777, and 901.

-Noclipping on a modem in any level has a chance of sending you here.

-You can also enter through an out of order arcade machine in Level 25.

Exits

-Noclipping on the giant, semi-humanoid skeleton that stands between poles can send you to Level 4.

-Finding a door behind said giant pole skeleton will transport you to The End instead of Level 4.

-There is a chance that a rocket can be heard taking off. If you travel to the sound of takeoff, you will find a rocket launchpad there. Noclip on it, and you'll be sent to Level 515.

-You can also reenter Level 308 or Level 46 by going 3000 miles in instead.

-Its possible that one can bury in sand to transport into a random level. Who knows where you'll end up doing it though, so its unadvised to do it!

-Noclipping on a painting that depicts a forest within the level will send you to Level 986. Although its a class deadzone, so its ill advised unless you have a death wish…

-Its extremely hard to find a road here. Upon taking the road, you are now in Level 80.
