Description

Level 270 is a haunting and desolate area within the Backrooms. Before the extinction event, this level was a surreal blend of a hospital and an arcade. The main areas of the level would be described with the following: The walls were lined with faded, pastel-colored tiles typical of a hospital, interspersed with neon lights and arcade machines that flickered erratically. The air was filled with a constant hum of malfunctioning electronics and the occasional distant echo of arcade game sound effects.

Bases, Outposts and Communities

The potential for any life in this level is impossible.

Pre-Extinction Event

The main areas of the level were dimly lit, with the only sources of light being the flickering neon signs and the occasional overhead fluorescent light. The hospital sections were filled with abandoned medical equipment, rusted gurneys, and empty IV stands. The arcade areas were cluttered with broken game machines, their screens cracked and controls unresponsive. The atmosphere was thick with a sense of unease. The air was stale, carrying a faint smell of antiseptic mixed with the metallic tang of old electronics. Before the extinction event, the level was sparsely populated with entities. Shadowy figures could occasionally be seen darting between the hospital rooms and arcade machines, but they never approached directly. The only known photograph of the level captured a blurry segment of one such figure.

Post-Extinction Event

Due to some cameras still working (although they only worked momentarily), we were able to give a post-extinction event description.
After the extinction event, Level 270 underwent a drastic transformation. The once flickering lights are now completely extinguished, plunging the level into total darkness. The air has become toxic, filled with a corrosive gas that makes it impossible for any form of life to survive. The walls and floors are covered in a thick layer of dust and debris, remnants of the level’s former state. The silence is absolute, broken only by the occasional creak of settling structures. The sense of unease has been replaced by an overwhelming feeling of desolation and finality. The level feels like a tomb, a place where time itself has ceased to exist. All entities that once inhabited the level have either perished or fled. The level is now devoid of any movement or life, making it one of the most dangerous and uninhabitable levels in the Backrooms.

Entrances And Exits

Due to the toxic atmosphere and the complete lack of resources, it is strongly advised to avoid entering Level 270. The risk of exposure to the corrosive gas and the structural instability makes it a death trap for any wanderer. Several people have sacrificed their lives to provide the information needed to avoid this level.

Entrances

The only known entrance to Level 270 is through a derelict hospital in Level 11. Finding a specific, rusted door in the basement, marked with faded arcade stickers, will lead you directly into Level 270. Be cautious, as this door is often hidden behind debris.

Exits

Exiting from this level is impossible, as death is nearly instant once one enters. The toxic atmosphere and structural instability ensure that any attempt to leave will be met with fatal consequences. Level 270 is a true death trap, and those who enter are highly unlikely to ever return.
