Level 254 is the 255th level of the Backrooms.

Description
Level 254 takes the form of an archipelago composed of only floating isles in an infinite and cloudy-like void. Level 254 contains 100 islands total, each one having a different size, as well as different biomes1. These islands do not seem to have any names, but the M.E.G. has given them code names in order to identify them2. This level seems to have a strange effect on wanderers that somehow make them feel paranoid, as if something is watching them from within the clouds themselves.
The climate in this level is widely considered as a hybrid between Polar and Temperate, depending on how high the elevation is. In the mountains, temperatures can drop to 2°C, while the lower forested/field areas can rise up to 18°C. The wind is always moving in this level, reaching speeds of 2-5 mph. The level has 12 hour day/night cycle, with both the night and day lasting about 6 hours total, as well as the sun rising and setting in the same cardinal directions as Earth. This does not seem to affect the lifeforms on the islands, nor it's habitablity.
There appears to be the presence of a odd-shaped moon whenever night comes around in this level. The moon seems to be light blue in colour, and is shaped somewhat like the dwarf planet Haumea from the Frontrooms. There is a large number of Flora and Fauna that live within Level 254. They mainly resemble flora and fauna from the Frontrooms, with some differences. An in-depth list of the flora and fauna has been provided below the "Unique Phenomena" section.
The Sora Ruins:
The Sora Ruins seem to resemble a mix of Greek and Japanese style ruins. The ruins themselves are around 4 square miles.
Entities:
The only known entities here are known as Homo Aquilas, otherwise known as Entity 146. They are highly social and intelligent entities, and are usually not aggressive towards humans. Although they are found extremely frequently throughout Level 254, there is only one community, named Sukaibirejji, where only 153 instances of Entity 146 inhabit. The rest of comfirmed instances live around the other floating islands in smaller groups.
Unique Phenomena:
One anomaly and phenomena that are unique to the level is that the sky can randomly change to a dark shade of purple every 5 days for a short time. Another unique phenomena is that some random celestial bodies such as meteors or comets can randomly be seen materializing out of nowhere, and staying stationary high above the islands, before seeming to glitch and disappear after 5 hours. It is not known why this happens, but the M.E.G. is attempting to observe this phenomena more to see how it works.

Bases, Outposts and Communities:
Sukaibirejji:
Sukaibirejji is the only known civilization in which instances of Entity 146 inhabit. The entire community is around 30 square meters in size, and is composed of small primitive houses made of plants and wood from the surrounding area. In the center of the community, a statue of the Sky Angel is present. Many instances of Entity 146 have been seen bowing down to the statue presumably in respect. Sukaibirejji is located on Codename: AVIAN. Specifically, around the eastern side, where the forest is more dense. On the pedestol of the statue, a text in japanese characters was found, and it was deciphered by the M.E.G. at Base Aero. The text is provided below:
M.E.G. (A.k.a "Major Explorer Group") Base Aero:
Base Aero is one of the more smaller M.E.G. bases in the Backrooms, being only just a camp with small laboratories. The M.E.G. uses this base for studying and researching certain anomalies on specific isles, as well as new Flora or Fauna. The base itself is located on Codename: NIMBUS. Specifically, near the middle of the island.
R.E.G. (A.k.a "Rogue Explorer Group") Base Deux:
Base Deux is the most recent R.E.G. base that has been discovered within the Backrooms. Some information about this base, such as locations is confidential, as ordered by members of the R.E.G., due to them wanting it to be kept private. But here's what we know about it so far. According to some members, it was set up around the 11th month of 2025, due to Base Un in Level 143 becoming too crammed. Just like Base Un in Level 143, the members of Base Deux specialize in exploring undiscovered regions of Level 254, and documenting them. However, what makes them slightly different from Base Un, is the fact that they bribe wanderers into not revealing their location, as well as not helping lost wanderers if they do not accept.
The Sky Angel:
The Sky Angel is described by instances of Entity 146 as the being that created Level 254. It's appearance is depicted as a humanoid that seems to be made of light gray clouds, as well as possessing a pair of angel wings, also made of clouds. It's eyes are purple in colour, with no visual signs of pupils being present. Instances of Entity 146 have a huge devotion towards this entity, seeing it as their guide4
Entrances And Exits:
Entrances
No-clipping through what looks like the symbol of air on Level 23 will send one to the Sora Ruins on this Level. Alternatively, you can go through a portal on Level 143.
Exits
There is only one known way to exit Level 254. To do so, one must fall off the islands, and they will either be sent to Level 121, or Level 143. However, according to observation, instances of Entity 146 have been consistently able to travel between Level 121, Level 143, and Level 254 with ease, but how they are able to do it remains a mystery.
