Level 143 is the 144th level of the Backrooms. It is full of mystery.
Description
Level 143 appears in similar form to Level 121, that being an archipelago with forested islands, but it differs from Level 121 in a lot of ways. First off, the water seems to be freshwater instead of saltwater. There seems to be no sand present on the lakebed. Instead, there is large rocks varying in size, with green algae from the Frontrooms growing on them, with mud underneath the rocks themselves.

Bases, Outposts and Communities:
Mr. Fisher's Houseboat:
Mr. Fisher's Houseboat is a small base/restaurant set up by a 64-year old wanderer known as Gerald Fisher. As you might have guessed, the entire base is similar to a Houseboat.
R.E.G. (A.k.a "Rogue Explorer Group") Base Un:
The R.E.G., otherwise known as the Rogue Explorer Group, is a recently discovered group of wanderers that claim to be "ex-members" of the M.E.G. (Major Explorer Group), that have quit, due to the M.E.G. being "too corrupt" in their eyes. They are known to despise the M.E.G., and often stay away from any levels that have M.E.G. bases within them. They tend to either help wanderers that are in need, or explore different parts of Level 143, and document them. Although the exact date is unknown, the group is theorized by other wanderers to have been founded on August of 2025. Base Un has been discovered recently on the island of Tamaraku. However, aside from Base Un, there has been no other R.E.G. bases documented so far.
Population: 36
The National Hunter's Group:
The National Hunter's Group is an outpost located on Oakanyon, and is by far the largest human settlement in Level 143, consisting of over 69 residents. The entire outpost resembles a small village, containing wooden cabins, and small cafeterias. Surrounding the perimeter of the outpost, are walls made of leftover logs of cut-down trees, and watchtowers on all four corners. Within the center of the outpost, is a metallic bell, used to gather all residents for meetings. The outpost itself is around 500 square meters, including the walls and area around it. There is not much information on what life is like living in this outpost, so decide at your own risk.
