Description
Level 135 is a labyrinthine complex made up of short wooden walls that strongly resemble Airsoft arenas. Most of these walls are riddled with bullet holes and partially rotted. The longer a wanderer remains inside, the more degraded the walls appear, though they never actually weaken or collapse.
Beyond the main area, there are three distinct zones:
Colored Rooms
These rooms share the same structure as the main area, but their walls are painted blue, yellow, and red. They are the only places in Level 135 where supplies and weaponry can be found.
Inside these rooms, wanderers may encounter bottles of Almond Water as well as bags of chips. However, it is not recommended to consume more than one bag in a short period, as they contain traces of Frontrooms fungi that can cause headaches and stomach cramps. In terms of weaponry, wanderers may find Airsoft guns and fake military uniforms. On rare occasions, real firearms can also be discovered, usually pistols or rifles.
Model Rooms
These rooms are hidden behind false walls that can be opened like doors. Inside, there are tables containing miniature trench models reminiscent of those from World War I.
If one of these models is broken, fungi known as Trench Repairers will rapidly spread inside the room. Thanks to an unknown property, these fungi can reconstruct the model in the blink of an eye. However, after reconstruction, some parts of the model may present flaws. Reports describe human teeth and nails embedded within the models.
Unnecessary Tunnels
Dozens of trapdoors leading to these tunnels can be found in the Colored Rooms. The tunnels are about five meters tall and five meters wide, following a random layout with interconnections and countless dead ends.
Inside, there is a high concentration of fungi almost identical to those found in the Model Rooms, though slightly larger and more reddish. These are known as Death Trenches. Contact with the fungus, or inhalation of its spores, causes a disease called Mortification, which slowly transforms the wanderer into a Dead Trench.
The Disease of Mortification
As mentioned earlier, this disease develops after contact with a Death Trench.
In the first stage, the wanderer feels a constant sense of vulnerability, which drives them to always carry some kind of weapon found in Level 135.
In the second stage, the weapon the wanderer carries begins to mold to the shape of their hand, making them constantly hold a weapon in their dominant hand.
In the third stage, Death Trenches begin to emerge across the wanderer’s body, hindering movement, reducing physical strength and stamina. Additionally, the body undergoes small mutations: the skin takes on a bluish tone and gradually develops the texture of fabric, resembling military uniforms.
In the fourth and final stage, the transformation is complete. The wanderer’s skin becomes a military uniform, their head deforms into the shape of a helmet, and their mouth and hands remain raw flesh due to the corrosive toxins released during the process. The weapon they carried fuses with their body, now firing organic matter such as nails and teeth instead of conventional projectiles.
After these four stages, the wanderer definitively becomes a Dead Trench.
