The entrance point of level 179.

Level 179 is the 180th Level of the Backrooms.

Description

Level 179 is an outdoor space ressembling the frontrooms in weirdly inverted colors. The vision of a wanderer will become very bad, ressembling old photos, as soon as he enters the level. It doesn't go away when the level is exited, and if not treated quickly enough, it will stay like this forever. It can be cured only by a mix of almond water and lestron from megaflora. It's apperance varies on what did the wanderer experienced in life, but the entrance point is allways the same. It's a path, leading to a forest. However, the forest is experienced differently, or even it does not exist in some people's experience of level 179. There is however a thing every wanderer that was in level 179 felt: the liminal space feeling. For example, if a wanderer has a memory of being in a luxurious tropical holiday resort, he will experience it in level 179, but it will look slightly different, and the wanderer will feel like he has been there, but he doesn't recognize it at all. However, he will still feel nostalgia. Wanderers often refer to it as "a nostalgic travel trough your childhood and other memories without people and remembering these things". After exiting, a wanderer needs a few weeks to recover from depression caused by the liminality, from seing different colors and other effects. Some wanderers never fully recover from this state, and after years, they eventualy go insane. Often the sounds heard at level 179 are terrifingly distorted, leaving a permanent mark on wanderers mental health. The nighttime is more common than the daytime while expriencing level 179, however there's no actual day-night cycle, and it seems to be random. The memories sometimes are made up by wanderers mind, and don't go away after exiting.
