Description

Missing alt text.

The snow spotted befores the perishing of the author.

Level 790.1 is a sub-layer of Level 790 of the Backrooms. The level's name was discovered in the notes of one of the perished, with nearly every paragraph referencing "Dreadful Snow." This has since become the name given to Level 790.1.

The houses within the town are typically 4 to 5-story buildings, with some exceptions. Almost all houses in Level 790.1 resemble buildings from the 1930s to the 2010s in terms of architecture. These buildings are usually colored in a mix of red, black, and various reddish hues. All the buildings in Level 790.1 are equipped with modern technology and appliances, including electricity, water, and central heating. However, none of them have Wi-Fi, which may be a deliberate attempt by the level to prevent discovery.

Even though many buildings searched no backrooms specific objects such as Almond Water, Royal Rations or Wi-Fi have never been found, as if the level is trying to prevent you from surviving by not letting you obtain objects that could help you.

Discovery

Level 790.1 would have probably still been undiscovered if not for information deliverd to them. The information about the sub-layer was found in a folder that was brought to M.E.G. Base Alpha by a wanderer that found it lying around in Level 1. The wanderer in question had no idea that Level 790.1 was undiscovered and just thought it could be lost important documents about an already discovered level. With no knowledge but that which the file had provided was immedeatly classified Level 790.1 as class N/A due to the unproven information and the lack of possiblity for prolonged human existance. No more information since discovery has been secured.

Anomalies, Entities and Dangers

1. The Snow: Despite the snow covering the ground of Level 790.1, the level is not particularly cold, with an average temperature of about 8°C (46.4°F). The snow itself doesn't appear much different from normal snow, but its temperature is extremely low, around -269°C (-452.2°F). When this snow comes into contact with any exposed living matter, it initiates a rapid decay process.

2. The Snowstorms: When a snowstrom comes to Level 790.1 the temperature starts to rapidly drop everywhere, it drops to about -269°C (-452.2°F). This is the last chance to leave the level, otherwise you will perish. The perishing will be caused by the so called "Dreadfull Snow" an extremely toxic and cold substance, this snow only falls during snowstroms and it gets to all parts of Level 790.1 thus removing all possibility of survival, a perished one wrote "When the Dreaful Snow falls, nobody stays behind, for the only escape is to perish".

Bases, Outposts, and Communities

No information on bases, outpost or communities has been secured. This is due to the unproven existance of the level itself and limited information secured about Level 790.1.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

Across all of the secured documents these entrances to Level 790.1 have been mentioned; Level 9, Level 9.2, Level 11, Level 237, Level 790 or Level 990. Every now perished wanderer entered the same or similar way: They went to an area far from the city center where heavy snow clouds reside, and where there is architecture of black and reddish hues. It was mentioned by some of the perished that they were pulled to the entrance area in the document found on Level 1.

Exits

None have been discovered some far as no information on exits has been secured, but it is heavily suspected there is an exit because otherwise the folder with information about Level 790.1 would have never left Level 790.1.
