SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY:
Class amended
- Glitchy and Unstable Environment
- Unpredictable Gravity Fluctuations
- Strange Psychological Hazards
Description
Level 692 is known as The Staring Birches due to it being a large, presumably infinite forest covered densely with birch trees, these trees seem to have eyes that stare at wanderers. Wanderers call it "Hazardous" due to the high concentration of various hazards within the level. These hazards range from psychological to gravitational and environmental. It is unknown why Level 692 contains such a large amount of hazards or why the hazards are present so densely within the level.
A less environmentally stable part of Level 692.
The landscape of Level 692 is mostly flat, with some patches that are more elevated than others, but there are no grand changes in environmental height. Level 692 can be best described as a very dense birch forest in a state between summer and autumn, with some areas being greener while others being colored in oranges instead of greens. The forest has no natural paths and has a very confusing layout; the level has been found to have non-euclidean geometry and strange properties. Level 692 has a few weird properties, such as morphing around wanderers, seemingly trying to surround them in an impenetrable wall of birches, another property is that the longer a wanderer stays in the level, the quicker their sanity drains.
Psychological Hazards
While traversing Level 692, individuals must avoid making eye contact with the "eyes" on the birch trees. These eyes appear to be naturally formed by the growth patterns found on the trees, resembling eerie, drawn-like shapes. Direct interaction or prolonged observation induces a hypnotic state. If the connection is not disrupted within the first few minutes, rescuing the affected individual becomes impossible as they seem to be rooted into the ground. If anyone makes eye contact with the trees, there are several outcomes.
If a wanderer falls under the effects of the birches, they will start turning into another one of the birches. First, they will slowly get sucked into the ground until they are fully submerged, then a birch starts rapidly growing in the place of the wanderer. M.E.G. has attempted multiple times to save people after they start getting sucked into the group,d but all attempts inevitably failed.

Gravitational Hazards
Strange gravitational effects have been noticed throughout Level 692. These effects are not present throughout the entire level, rather, the gravity of the entire level comes in patches that can have lower, higher, or even variations of inverted gravity. The reason behind these patches is as of yet unknown, and under research, some speculate that the birches themselves generate gravity based on what the birches find best for themselves, as lower gravity has been noticed around newer birches. Some patches have gravitational fluctuations at a certain rate, while others can rapidly change their gravitational strength.
Bases, Outposts, and Communities
Due to the nature of Level 692 and the danger, it is filled with no Bases, Outposts, or communities that have been set up. M.E.G. has made outposts and other colonies officially banned here as the more people get transformed by the birches, the more dangerous the level will become, this ban extends to all backrooms wanderers and will be enforced if a colony is set up.
