The reason why they live here is theorized that they are the same type of insects, just that they are more carnivorous and have a food chain system

The entity even though it's in a hive separates to find prey. Once the entity finds it, the locust will call the nest on these three tests. First is "How tough is the entity" the locust will hop on the entity and bite to know how tough the skin is. Second is "is it vicious" it will cause some human replication noise or if human will do entity noise to see how it reacts.
Last is the "spit and check quality of the meat" They have a strange saliva that will go into detail in a little bit, but they will spit and see how it will dissolve. If it has a hard time dissolving than maybe attack but if so, attack the entity!
Once all the tests are successful and according to how weak and how tough it is will send that number of locusts. If it's strong and vicious but has soft skin will send 1000 to attack but if it's weak and docile but is tough will send decent amount like 500 to attack. If it meets all standards, will send 1/4 of the nest to attack!
The saliva is a disgusting gooey like substance made from some acidlike substance according to research. The saliva can dissolve only living matter and can't dissolve man-made and nature made that isn't living. instead, they will take one of these locusts to take them out! The acidic substance can detect if the meat is good quality or not by how well it dissolves!
Once they consume the entire prey, they will send them back to their nest to be vomited out and be fed to the entire nest by the saliva. The saliva is connected to the entire nest and will feed everyone even the QUEEN gets the food!
Both male and females hunt and try to kill and consume the entity except the male with eat more aggressively than the female counterpart and keeps everything they eat, adding their fat! once they are fat and old enough.
Once they are fat/old enough will mate with the queen and the heaviest one gets to live and mate extra longer the fattest ones weight and power will be consumed by the queen. Once the mating process is done (weighs on average the average female weight) The others will be eaten by the queen to regain her power!
The queen gives birth to 10 extra males every 2 years, with the one with the most weight from 2 years ago starting again! If hesitated than will be devoured by the queen herself!
The male has a way longer lifespan. On average females is 5 years but males can live up to 100 years old. The female can once old enough do this trick, they put their mouth on the queen baby's mouth. Then if dead will use all of their energy inside to resurrect the baby dying in the process once resurrected successfully.
The locust hates pesticide so much that if sprayed will end up dying. Once a locust dies to an entity, 10 seconds later will be alerted and come to the spot! So if you kill them then you can run and hide so the nest can go back. If failed to hide will be violently eaten to death.
Only death moths and these locusts are never ever affected by the acidic substance. Reasoning is unknown.
Biology:
The females look like real life locusts and males have more of a fatter texture and can fit their own prey and store. Males when fat look like irregularly fat locusts.
A dying locust would look like a gray locust and spit out their organs and teleport to that horrifying gr3y! They also if trapped will kill themselves reasoning is unknown
Discovery:
It was originally discovered in a lifeless field and the person that discovered it also took a far away photo of them consuming the prey!

Species
There is different species of these entities, the entities have so far 5 documented species with more to come!
The diamondback locust is a type of fragile and weak locust that resides in the invasion zone! It is the weakest locust but if in teams can kill mass numbers! These species are the weakest to bug spray!
their back looks to be some diamondback like shape and the back is seemingly the toughest out of all, but still crushable if use enough force. They are weak when it comes to attacks.
bulky locusts are the toughest and strongest species, they behave like the guards except they are less aggressive than the others and rather more intelligent and smarter then the rest, as they are way more cautious.
The insects look like an ant with a bulky death moth like shape. they have very transparent wings and is very long stretching out for 1ft.
The hissing cobra locusts is an aggressive species that will start to hiss if in danger or when complete with tests, they spit out dangerous liquid that can blind, hurt and melt the victim to stun it!
The appearance looks like some cobra with a big pincer-like mouth!

James: I know decent knowledge about these entities so let me explain
James: We are figuring out their goo right now but here's what we know:
They are connected to the entire nest and seemingly is what their nest is made out of.
It can't burn, in fact these guys can't burn we forgot to mention that!
They are very aggressive and non-tamable as they trust their queen!
So: they are attracted to light and noise so tread lightly or be loud.
Never ever let them do all tests as they will call nest once done!
James: never kill the entire nest as I forgot to mention! the queen will teleport you to that fucking disgusting mess!
James: ah shit I have been there and saved her!
James: Where is her?
There are confirmed reports about a locust spreading in level 6 and the boiler rooms of level 5
We are not sure why
And because of the locust's harsh condition, the moment they hit level 6 they were on a killing spree! People were dropping dead like flies faster than people coming and then there was an attack with a wanderer in the safe parts! The entities were so out of control that they partially invaded level 9 and signs on level 10 is near! Level 4 is also being heavily invaded, and people are standing up! They went to hives in groups to kill but all unsuccessful! Reason is unknown There is high protection in where these guys can enter and will be kept and reported to different places! Remember, if this keeps up than we are all holding bug sprays by a year!
