HABITAT(S): Levels that have lots of buildings
Description:
A large, complex table. It uses a "user interface" as a basis for its design, incorporating several levels of nested buttons. These buttons usually are hidden under it, and the buttons usually do pretty random stuff. This entity usually stays away from other entities of its kind. It doesn't interact or have a behavior, but it can walk around and might run into something because of its lack of seeing, and hearing. Despite not seeing or hearing, it has lots of wisdom and knows all recorded information ever written on tech, so it could be smarter than all of humanity.
Biology:
A sentient machine that knows all data recorded including deleted data. the machine has many wires in it and even some organic material such as flesh, blood, and veins. the material seems to be its own, not owned by any creature before it.
This table has a defense mechanism that happens when you damge it. The defense mechanism consists of all the organic material inside of the table oozing out of the table's legs, then wrapping around your neck so you choke and die.
Discovery:
M.E.G was roaming level 1 and found a table. They didn't think it did anything until they found the buttons and pushed them, the buttons did stuff from opening a door to causing a miniature earthquake.
M.E.G operatives tried breaking the table open to see what was inside, intern triggering its defense mechanism. Fifteen operatives died from this accident, and five were injured.
Do's and Don'ts:
Do:
- Push buttons only if necessary
- Try hacking into it to learn info about stuff
- Stay away from it when it's in its defense state
Don't:
- Push buttons for no reason
- Damage it
- Hack into it for malicious reasons
