Point Omen, level 179 or the 180th level of the backrooms. A naval base on an island approximately 30 miles in diameter. The island is flanked by large jagged shores and ocean as far as you can see if it weren't for the thick fog and constant Dusk that only seems to get darker the further out of the main base you go.
"The Veterans" are the only community of people who have set up base in this level.
Members of The Veterans are a group of people who stayed in the level for too long and just don't feel right going anywhere else.
Their base is near the airfield located in the Outskirts of the level.
Some have tried to venture out into the concrete expanse to map out more of the island but failed due to getting lost, or unknown entities.
The "Main Base" is only around 2 miles in diameter with many ruined buildings, roads, and totaled vehicles. The plant life seems eerily well kempt, from trimmed bushes to fresh cut lawns.
You'll notice as you enter this level a smell of morning dew and various flowers, along with an oppressive Dusk that lingers over the island, and a lack of hostile entities at the gates. Only facelings are seen at the gates. Unmoving and unresponsive.
Deeper into the Main Base you see A large office building labeled "Captain Del Rose", several barracks, a commissary, a couple shops and other buildings for various utilities.
Most buildings have facelings at counters or stocking items. The entity "Windows" can be seen in most barracks buildings and you'll encounter the occasional Wretch in random corridors. Smilers can also be seen in dimly lit areas of the ruined buildings, and mimics are disguised as some rooms.
While outside of these buildings you can encounter hostile entities such as "Masters", Hounds, Wretches, "Sea Dogs" (which are people who are controlled by The Captain), and you'll see "The Captain" with his beast patrolling the level in the Main base.
When you enter the barracks you are greeted with the smell of mold, and mildew. The sounds of gusts of pressurized air, and humming florescent lights fill the narrow halls. You see dingy off white walls that have a white void like appearance, and the flickering of the florescent lights that remain humming overhead.
Inside the rooms you see much of the same, including mattresses with no frame, toilets with red water, and fridges stocked with something that both looks and smells can only be described as "almost cheese" contents of the room can vary almost making them seem personal to whoever may live there however, no known groups or wanderers reside in these rooms. Mimics however can pretend to be a room.
Further out of the main base is known as "The Outskirts" it is a well forested area led down by a single back road. Structures along the road include an airstrip, hangar, a forest that appears to decay the deeper you go, and a few docks that lead to one of the only ways to sail through the jagged shores.
The deeper you venture through this space the more you'll notice entities not seen in the main base such as Skinstealers, an increase of Smilers, Shades, "Not Deer", Hunters, and Corrupted.
At the end of this road you'll see a large ruined hangar type building, with some trailers randomly placed near by, some construction equiptment, and surrounded by a chainlink fence decorated with tarps tied on the links to prevent the gusts of wind to let dust in the area. Stationed on a concrete ground that seems to go out for many miles in all directions leading away from the main base covered in an oppressive dark only dimly lit by the occasional break in the thick fog. Any structures this far out are unconfirmed. Two unique non-hostile entities known as "Geo" and his dog "Chauncey" reside in one of the trailers here.
You can get to this level through no clipping through the hull of Level 17.
There are no confirmed exits as they seem to be randomly generated however, an entity known as "Geo" will have his dog show you an exit if you do him a "favor" or give him a rare item.
You will be teleported to a random level, but depending on the quality of treat you give the dog "Chauncey" for his help will result in the type of Level you teleport into. The higher quality the safer the room.
BE WARNED
The longer you stay in this level the more of they level "stays with you."
