Level 328 has the obvious property of making me feel hopeless or lost while traveling through the level. This is most likely due to the fact that I cannot leave. There is nothing here. Every rock is the same. I can't no-clip. There is no exit, because there is nothing in this barren prison.

vast, dark, and empty nature.

it is highly recommended to stay out of this place.

Bases, Outposts, and Communities:

There are none.

There is no one else.

  • I am helpless, weak, and lost.
  • There is nothing else.
  • There cannot be a community.
  • I am alone.
  • The hostile Death Rats are my only friend.
  • I shouldn't have ran from the Clump.
  • There is a population of 0 humans here.
  • I wish to be free.
  • That's not possible.
  • An entity's wrath, is a viable escape at this point.

Navigation:

Navigation is impossible.

The portals.

There is no keeping track of my location here. I can't stay in one place. Against my own will, my lifeless life that I'm now accepting, drags me to new darkness, virtually identical in every way, as usual.

Entrances And Exits:

The above article is not a functional description of Level 328. A proper description is at the bottom of the page. The previous article was written by a M.E.G. reporter who was sent to explore the level and then write the article based on his experience and our current information, but he was sent alone and felt severely lost and hopeless due the anomalous effects of the level. It took our teams 47 days to find and rescue the reporter; furthermore, despite that the article not a proper description, we are choosing to leave it up as a necessary component to stress how important it is to bring Almond Water, travel in groups, and do what's possible to maintain mental stability in this level.

An artist's depiction of the main area in Level 328.

    Description:

Level 328 is a vast and empty level, consisting of a grey, rocky wasteland comprised of several types of stone and minerals, and is believed to be inside of a massive hollow mountain. Many minerals including common stones like shale, granite, and conglomerate are prevalent, and additional materials such as chalk, coal, salt, iron, and more can be found in the level. Very rarely, colorful gems and crystals can be found in the level, such as emeralds, sapphires, rubies, etc. The level has a mildly noticeable smell of clay, and is consistently cold, staying between 0-10 degrees Celsius. It's so cold.1

Level 328 contains many pillars of rock which reach all the way from the top of the level to the bottom of the level. It is believed that these pillars are the main reason the supposed hollow mountain does not entirely collapse on itself.2 Level 328 has a stable amount of space within the level, as it has been proven to have a very rough, circle-shaped edge. It is estimated that the level contains about 7,000 square kilometers of open space. The emptiness is so vast it goes beyond just a physical space, don't read the rest of this, rather just stay safe. Unlike a typical cavernous structure, when looking off into the distance in this level, you will only see darkness, as the level lacks any real source of light and is incredibly large and open. Smaller openings and small caves can be found in this level, often with large, connected cave systems. The caves and small areas of this level can be especially useful for building homes or outposts. Don't.

Photo of a small area in Level 279, taken by a M.E.G. explorer.

Level 328 has the anomalous property of making wanderers feel hopeless or lost while traveling through the level. This is most likely due to this level's vast, dark, and empty nature. The aforementioned hopelessness has a very strong effect, with no reversal, so it is highly recommended to bring Almond Water when entering this level. Faint water droplets falling and distant roars can be heard on occasion in this level, but it is unknown where the roars are coming from.

The Log found below was the final words of two missing M.E.G. Members who were doing an investigation on the strange roars. The Log was found by other M.E.G. Members during a raid at a Troll outpost.

      M.E.G. Investigator 1: Josh Hughes
      M.E.G. Investigator 2: Sam Johnson

      <Begin Log>
Hughes: So, they finally found this beast, huh?
      Johnson: Looks like they did.
Hughes: Honestly, I don't really care much for this case- I'm just looking to get my pay.
Johnson: Well, I don't know about you, but I've got a really bad feeling about this one, who knows what that thing could be?
Hughes: Hey, just don't get too stressed out about it, alright?
      (Mumbling, presumably from Johnson)

-After about three hours of travel, and an encounter with the Trolls, the two arrive at the location.
Hughes: Holy cow. This is one massive pillar, or whatever this is.
Hughes: Okay. I'm gonna head inside and retrieve the photos and information. You stay back and make sure those trolls don't catch up with us.
Johnson: Keep communications on in case you need it.
      Hughes: Got it.

Hughes: Ugh, it's filled with trolls and pitch black.
(Many voices can be heard, unintelligible)

      (Screaming)
Johnson: Josh! What's going on in there?
(Loud thumping is heard getting closer to Johnson)
Johnson: What in the name of Jerry-
      (Static)
      <End Log>

Small pools of non-pure Almond Water can be found in Level 328, but this is rare. Just as rare as ever being safe in this level. There are a few types of entities throughout this level, such as: Clumps, Reviooks, and Death Rats.

    Bases, Outposts, and Communities:

    The Trolls of Level 328

The Trolls of Level 328 are a group of wanderers that like to collect resources from Level 328.

    • They take in helpless, weak, or lost, wanderers and make them join the group.
    • Despite that, the population of the group stays at roughly the same number, the reason is unclear.
    • They are usually hostile, but can be negotiated with.
    • They will attack anyone who aggravates them, breaks rules, steals, or acts suspiciously.
    • The Death Rats are friendly towards the group, the reason for this is not known.3
    • The group has been in Level 328 since its discovery, and most likely much longer than that.
    • They have a population of around 100 people.
    • If they are attacking someone that seems threatening to them,4 they will attack using many group members at once, like a horde.
    • They are called the trolls due to their hostile nature.
    • They do not seem to have any actual group name.
    • The group has been confirmed to have a leader, however, the leader has not been seen by the public and is very mysterious due to this, since no real information is known about the leader.
    • The group seems to be similar to that of a cult, following their higher-ups no matter what, and even sacrificing their lives for the group. It's not yet understanded what causes the trolls to do this.

    Navigation:

The level can be very dangerous and difficult to navigate, since parts of the level frequently collapse, which can cause parts of the level to collapse onto wanderers, killing them in the process. The common collapsing of this level also makes the level difficult to navigate, as paths traveled can become blocked off or change entirely.

Strange floating portals, which emit an aura of darker-than-black fog, can also sometimes be found in this level. These portals will seemingly inch their way towards wanderers, however they can easily be outran, as they are very slow. If you are caught off-guard by one of these portals and enter it, you will be transported to a very different location in Level 243, making this level even more difficult to navigate. Applications attempting to contain any of the portals in this level have proven unsuccessful, as any object that comes into contact with them is lost.

If wanderers are traveling in groups for extended periods of time in this level, they will often be separated. The way that wanderers are usually separated is via the wanderers losing sight of each other, then immediately being sent seamlessly into separate areas of the level. Regardless of it feeling uncomfortable, the best option to solve for that occurrence, is to hold hands with whoever you are traveling with, as it significantly decreases the chance of the anomaly, even if you cant see the other person. What other person?

    Entrances And Exits:

    Entrances

Level 328 Can be entered by falling into a snow pit in The Mountain Village. Entering Level 328 on purpose is very difficult. Don't.

    Exits

Clipping through a wall in Level 328 will lead to Level -6. Level 328 can also be exited by finding an opening in the mountain, where you will have to no-clip through a cliff, into Level 0.5 Why would you turn around? Accept freedom, so you don't have to accept the same fate.6
