The Glass doors found on floor 1.
Level 963, also known as Ascending Office Space is the 964th level of the Backrooms.
Description:
Level 963, similarly to Level 4 is a large office space. This level is mostly empty and can occasionally feature strange architecture that doesn't align with any purpose of an office. The level is presumably a large skyscraper building with an incredibly high number of floors. The floor count is assumed to be finite, but the true amount isn't currently known1. Each floor is a rectangular shape with seemingly randomly placed rooms and structuring. The architecture of the rooms can range widely; these rooms can be standard rectangular shapes with occasional pieces of furniture, or strange shapes with odd features such as random pillars or seemingly unnecessary walls, and anything in-between.
The first floor of the level is a lobby room, with an entry point and a different wood floor. This room has the most sensical layout in the whole level. The entrance has a front desk with blank papers laid out on top of it. Behind the desk appears to be a metal door with a sign reading "Employees Only" and a few metal cabinets with nothing in them. Along with the desk there is a glass door and a few windows leading to an "outside." The outside resembles a place akin to The Frontrooms with buildings and grass outside. The other side also has a glass door with its outside being a parking lot with only a few cars which are all the same off-white shade. The outside of both sides appears to be in a frozen time state and is perpetually raining. The sky is also always at the start of dusk and overall has a dull atmosphere. While attempts have been made to access the outside, all have failed. It is unknown if this is a direct window into The Frontrooms, however, it is most likely just another trick. Interestingly, the sky appears to be mostly clear despite the constant raining, it is unknown where the rain is coming from.
The rooms themselves as mentioned before, have varying layouts. The walls are commonly a pale shade of blue tinted white, and the floors either consist of varying colors of carpet, or a dull wood look. As for furniture, some may have no furniture at all, and some are packed with furniture. The furniture can include many different objects, most of which are typical things found with office spaces. Sometimes, one may find certain laid out rooms which include the following:
- Meeting rooms with a large table, several chairs, and a projector that for whatever reason, cannot be turned on despite having power.
- A medium-sized room with several cubicles. The cubicles have a simple desk and computer, sometimes an empty coffee cup, and a name tag with jumbled letters.
- A room with a few tables and chairs along with a whiteboard and a few dried-up dry erase markers.
- A small room with a few colored boxes which are always dead ends.
- A small storage room of sorts with haphazardly placed shelving with unopened packages and again more colored boxes.
- A large room with a couple of glass walls and two cubicles like the ones mentioned previously.
Most rooms, however, are either completely empty or have randomly placed furniture. Sometimes a room might just be a seemingly random turn into a wall or may have a door leading nowhere. Most tables have normal office items on them like pencils, papers, office appliances such as staplers, cups of paperclips, and other things, they can also rarely be items such as [[Almond Water]]. Occasionally one may find a vending machine, the machines don't seem to function, however. Each room also has a single staircase that one must find to progress to the next floor up.
Throughout a journey through Level 963, as mentioned before, one will have to go through many floors to reach an exit. While the first rooms' lighting is fully lit, each floor one goes up will have dimmer lighting than the previous. The dimming of the lights continues until about Floor 100, at which the lights will no longer emit any light at all. Exiting will require going to around Floor 1000, it is recommended to take the first exit you find, as going any further will most likely be insanely dangerous and is not recommended unless you know what you are doing. It may take up to a few hours to reach the exit. There are a few detected changes within the level however that last certain amounts of floors. These sections have been broken up into zones, which are described below:
Entities
While unconfirmed, there may be an entity on this level that is not present on any other. The only report of this entity reveals that it only seems to appear after floor 4000 and will consume one in darkness before affecting whoever the victim is, how it does so and what it does is unknown. Another thing that is known about it, is that it will make a static noise that gradually gets louder until it arrives. It also seems to have the ability to talk, that being through page manipulation.3

Entrances And Exits
Entrances
Finding a building in Level 11 that looks like a closed office, and entering it, will bring you here. You can often enter through noclipping in Level 4. Entering a door with the label 4097 on Level 21 can send you here. Plain white doors with the label ‘Big Block Office’ will take you here.
Exits
After floor 700 noclipping through a wall has a very rare chance to send you to Level -1, this is not recommended as if it doesn't work you will end up in The Void instead if it does work consider yourself lucky. After floor 1000 there is a chance one might find a door labeled ‘EXIT’, entering this can bring you to many levels, see below for a list:
