Level 505

Level 505 is the 506th level of the Backrooms.

Description

Level 505 is a looping cluster of rooms with broken computers with a hallway that connects them together. The rooms contain several connected desks with computers, monitors, mouses and keyboards. The hallways are mostly empty, but can rarely have broken lighting fixtures. The length of this level is approximately 3km². A special property of this level is that when a wanderer tries to exit a door at the approximated very edge of this level, they will be sent to an exact replica of the previous room, only the room structure and furniture may change.

The operating system is not fully known since any attempt to go past the error screen has failed, but based on the error message, it is possibly a Windows XP, Windows Vista or a Windows 7.

This level has no source of light except the computers which are constantly stuck on a "blue screen of death". Attempting to use any light source in this level will grant no results. This level also has semi-decent WiFi, and has only 2 viewable connections. Only one is able to be used, since the other one is locked behind a password which is impossible to crack, or constantly changing. The names of these WiFi connections are just random letters, like in Level 11. Attempting to set up a WiFi hot-spot in this level cannot work for unknown reasons.

Occasionally, one may stumble upon a Server Room in the hallways. These server rooms are really small, only being 2x4 meters long. These rooms contain only servers and sometimes generators, with minimal light coming from them. Watch out, as Smilers can appear in these rooms. Along with the Server Rooms, this level also has rooms which appear to be supply closets. These closets include but are not limited to extension cords, computer equipment, shareware copy disks along with broken desktop lamps.

Bases, Outposts and Communities

There are no known bases, outposts or communities on this level.

Entities

The only hostile entity that can appear in this level are Smilers in server rooms. It also should be noted that a passive Faceling-like entity in a mechanic outfit occasionally passes through the hallways in the level. This entity completely ignores any human being, unless it's being provoked. Then it'll become hostile, but it's quite easy to outrun it.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

The only known way to enter this level is to turn off the lights in any room in Level 212. Staying in the same room and not turning on the lights for approximately 2 and a half hours will transport you to this level once you exit the room.

Exits

The only known way to exit this level is to turn the lights back on in the room where you came to this level if you have have entered through Level 212. Then you will be sent back to where you came from.
