A digital recreation of a mural on one of the walls in Level 192. The source of this photo is unknown.
Level 192 is the Level 193rd level of the Backrooms. It is known for having a moderate amount of similarities to Level 0.
Description
Level 192 is an infinite cluster of mostly empty rooms with several unpredictable meter-thin hallways connecting to other rooms. This level is notable for breaking the fabric of reality at many points, along with most of the rooms being completely enveloped in several different colors of paint. Occasionally, the paint splashes can make coherent symmetrical abstract murals, which happens more than expected. This level can contain several reality breaking properties, mostly being four dimensional topology or scaling the wanderer or any related objects up and down. This effect will disappear once the wanderer enters a different room. There is no known day-night cycle in this level, as it takes place in an interior with no windows whatsoever.
This level poses a great risk towards sanity and prevention of the Wretched Cycle, since Almond Water can appear in this level, but always mixed with an unidentified paint-like substance, which makes it poisonous to consume. Wanderers must be prepared with several useful resources to survive through this level. Along with the complete lack of resources in this level, this level can also kill off your sanity through graphic and auditory hallucinations no matter the state of the wanderer, complete isolation from human life, and heavy paranoia after staying in this level for a while.
The entire structure of this level is incredibly dangerous, with fragments of the ceiling occasionally falling, walls having a weirdly placed hole in them, and puddles of paint which are unusually easy to slip on. This environmental danger has presumably been since the level supposed conception, with no fingerprints or any identifiable resources near them. It should also be noted that the average temperature of this level can range from 2°C to 8°C. The puddles of paint have been put under microscopes for several experiments, and it has been revealed that these puddles of paint have several lifeforms of bacteria inside of them. These bacteria have no resemblance to any bacteria in The Frontrooms, and it's presumed that this is a life form exclusive to the Backrooms.
Bases, Outposts and Communities
Hypotheticals (Actual name unknown):
NOTE: All of this base's evidence is provided from several notes found on the floor. Take every piece of information about this outpost with a heavy grain of salt.
- Rumored to exist before their eradication, it's existence only being partially proven by notes found on the floor
- Their entire community has a "paint-based diet", through drinking the Almond Water mixed with paint that can be occasionally found on this level.
- Unknown behavior since their outposts and population have been wiped
Entities
The only known entities in this level are Wretches, which are quite common to find, along with an entity exclusive to this level which is known as a Reality Painting.
Reality Paintings
Reality Paintings are uncommon entities that take the appearance of a regular framed painting, usually resembling a real painting from the Frontrooms, almost always pinned to the wall. These "paintings" can be mobile once a wanderer gets close enough to them. Once the wanderer approaches the Entity1, their body parts and organs will glitch, for example a stomach and a lung will swap positions. This can be annoying at best, and lethal at worst. These can be easily avoided, since the only paintings that can appear in this level are Entities. If you see any framed painting in this level, do not approach.
Entrances And Exits
Entrances
You can enter this level from it's respective door in The Hub, or no-clipping into an abstract art style painting in Level 57.
Exits
Successfully performing The Mountain King Ritual at any point in this level is the only reliable way to exit Level 192. This will always take you to Level 321.
