One of some Level 243 calendars.

Level 243 is the 244th Level of the Backrooms.

Description

Level 243 resembles a medium-sized American house, which is perfectly furnished and filled with some calendars. The door to the outside cannot be opened or broken, as can the windows. The windows show a small American neighborhood, which seems to be frozen in time, since there is no movement. The different calendars that can be found are in all languages and can also be found in bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, kitchens, desks, garages, attics, small storage rooms and basements. The days and months are the same as those of the Frontrooms, but the years change, since you can even find dates from the year 7500 BC.1

Encounters with people at Level 243 are rare, but can occur. Although mostly only one person can enter the level, it is not possible to enter in a group. Supplies are limited. All the calendars in the level are made of different materials such as paper, cardboard, etc.

An explorer named Jalys decided to collect a lot of supplies and stay for several days inside Level 243. In the first days nothing interesting happened, she could only see very few wanderers entering the level. Then she started to notice how the whole place was getting weirder, the basement, garage and attic were gone and calendars were more common. A few more days, she noticed that the walls were moving and making the whole house smaller, then when the walls stopped they only left the living room, where Jalys was, the living room walls were cluttered with calendars.

Further ahead a door had appeared that had a label that said exit, which I sent to Jalys to Level 260. Jalys suggests that depending on where you stayed, a different exit door will appear.

After the feat that Jalys did, it was decided to do the same to find out what levels the other rooms led to.
