A scientist was explaining a new food to the survivors. It had been discovered recently, and he was excited about it.

"This is a new food," he said, "and it's going to change everything." He held up a sample of the food and showed how it was shaped like an apple. "It's like an apple, but it's not an apple." He pointed out that it wasn't shaped like a head or a stem; there were no seeds in it at all. It looked just like an apple! He explained that this meant the food could be eaten in any way you wanted—it wouldn't matter whether you ate the whole thing or just nibbled on a few pieces.

The scientist went on to explain how this new food would save lives: if you ate it, you would be able to survive off of nothing but this new food for years at a time! You could survive anything: hunger, thirst, cold weather… anything!

we were all up early. We were all excited to try the new food.

The group was split up into smaller groups, each with their own scientist. I was in a group of three, and we all walked together towards the cafeteria.

"This is such a great opportunity." said one of our scientists. "I can't wait to see what happens when people eat this food."

We walked in silence for a little while before we reached our destination: the cafeteria. We entered and sat down at our usual tables. "What do you think will happen?" one of my other friends asked me as we sat down at our table. "I don't know," I replied honestly. "I've heard stories about people turning into monsters after eating contaminated food before."

My friend nodded his head in agreement before taking a bite out of his lunch—a sandwich made from ham and cheese with some lettuce on top. He closed his eyes as he chewed it slowly, savoring every bite of his meal like it was going out of style any minute now. After swallowing, he opened his eyes again and looked at me with a smile that said: "It's good!"

About ten minutes later, another friend took a bite and slowly started growing horns and his eyes were being covered by a forming layer of skin. We got out of there as fast as we could, and we never saw our friend again.

Supermarket test:

The Yellow Box is a mysterious food that has recently appeared on our market. We have heard from many customers that it tastes incredible, and people feel very happy after eating it. However, we have also received reports of bizarre happenings, including strange voices, unnatural physical changes, spontaneous combustion, and even missing limbs. We are removing these from our store immediately!
