Level 243 is the 244th level of the backrooms. Level 243 was discovered in 2020 when a B.T.N.G trader came across a book tilted "The Backrooms Guide For Dummies", on the floor of ███████. After reaching for it. He nocliped to level 243. He died after he communicated his first word to M.E.G support.

the appearance of an average American media center, and is about 2000 square feet. It contains books and other objects that you might find in a library, however, the books are random and do not exist in real life. Some of these books even have mind-altering properties that can cause paranoia, sudden anger, and uncontrollable mood swings. While some of the books contain valuable information the book must be returned before 4 in level days. The levels day and night cycle last about 48 hours. Making a noise above 30 decibels is not recommended.

5/12/20 Level 243
After the untimely death of the B.T.N.G trader Doug, M.E.G Operative Ken was sent to document level 243. After 15 hours of no contact. M.E.G overwatch sent a recovery team. They found a book. They opened the first page and to their horror they saw the face of Ken. They only blinked for a second, when they swore it blinked. In only a moment they could wonder whether he was still alive or dead. The thought of him being still alive was horrifying. Their body let out a scream louder then they have ever done in their life. It was like they had no choice. I wish we could say those 3 lives were lost, but in a twist of fate they lived. Signed M.E.G Overseer Andrew.

- "The Escape" is book with 1000 pages. After reading the reader will completely black out. The contents of the book is never remembered. When they wake up they will fall through the roof of a random level. If found call M.E.G support the reader will still be under the books effects, for about 35 hours. Consider then dangerous and unstable.
